Wildlife lovers are invited to spread their wings and visit Epping Forest Burial Park, to find out more about bats and moths.
This month we have two special evening events have lined.
On Saturday 13 August local bat specialist Roger Havard will introduce visitors to his captive bats ahead of a guided torchlight walk through the 52-acre woodland.
And two weeks later, on Saturday 27 August, the focus will be on moths. Specialists Anthony Harbott, Martin McCleary, Graham Smith and Andy McGeeney will share their knowledge of moths, helping participants to identify different species.
If you’ve ever wanted to know more about moths and bats then these events are for you
“Early evening is a wonderful time to visit the woodland and this is a great opportunity to learn from local experts.”
The events are free, with donations for the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust and Butterfly Conservation. Participants are advised to dress warmly and to bring a torch.
